Eva R. Parker, M.D.

Dr. Eva Rawlings Parker is a native of Joelton, Tennessee. After finishing high school at Harpeth Hall, she moved to Denver, Colorado where she graduated magna cum laude from the University of Denver in 1997 with a B.S. in Environmental Science. She then attended medical school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, graduating with honors in 2002. After completing a one-year internship in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Denver, Dr. Parker moved to Chicago to complete her residency in dermatology at Northwestern University. Dr. Parker is relocating back to the Nashville-area to be closer to her family and is very excited to be joining Franklin Dermatology Group in August 2010. Dr. Parker has been in practice in Chicago since 2006 and is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Initially, she practiced at Loyola University Medical Center before transitioning into private-practice at Southwest Dermatology. While at Loyola, Dr. Parker was an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Associate Director of the Dermatology Residency Training Program, and Director of the Inpatient Dermatology Consultation Service. She has been active in the dermatology community volunteering her time to teach residents, serving as Chair of the Scientific Committee for the Chicago Dermatological Society, and authoring articles for medical journals and patient-oriented publications. Dr. Parker is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Her practice interests include skin cancer detection and surgery, pediatric and geriatric dermatology, skin manifestations of internal disease, psoriasis, and acne. Her cosmetic interests include chemical peels, Botox, soft tissue filers and laser therapy. Dr. Parker and her husband Stephen, also a native of Tennessee, married in 1997. Away from work, Dr. Parker enjoys spending time with her husband and their rescued racing greyhounds. Dr. Parker is a passionate hockey fan who also enjoys cooking, gardening, and travel.
