M.D. FORTE®

MD Forte skin care is the cornerstone of high quality AHA products. Used on all skin types, MD Forte can be helpful in treating mild to moderate acne and useful on premature aging skin. MD Forte Products contain up to two to three times higher levels of glycolic acid than other similar skin care lines. This is possible through an advanced formulation of partially neutralized (buffered) glycolic acid. The result is a cosmetically pleasing product with clinical results. In approximately two to six weeks you should begin to feel and see results, depending on the condition of the skin.

Obagi Nu Derm

The Obagi Nu-Derm system is the leading, clinically tested, FDA-approved, prescription strength skin care system combining tretinion (Retin-A) and hydroquinone (lightening cream). The ideal client for the Obagi system would be a woman or man within the ages of 20 to 90. Clients typically wish to improve the skin from within and rebuild damaged tissue or prevent the skin from showing the signs of damage. Whether your skin is fair, dark, dry, oily, sensitive or anything in between, there is a Nu-Derm system that’s right for you. Obagi is a product line that requires a certain amount of commitment and dedication. Restoring the health of the skin cannot happen if you only treat the symptoms. To achieve and maintain skin health, you must correct the underlying problems and stimulate the growth of new healthy skin cells. This can be done with Obagi Nu-Derm’s six easy steps. Usually a consultation is required prior to starting the Obagi skin care system.

Glytone®

Although we do not carry the entire Glytone skin care line, we have selected the products that best suit the needs of our clients. Glytone products are geared toward more oily or acne-prone skin types. Proven acne fighting ingredients help clear skin and keep it looking healthy. All glytone products contain a FREE ACID value making the glycolic acid percentage lower, but still effective in treating all types of skin. A mild tingling is normal and generally well tolerated by patients using topical acne medications. Glytone Gel Wash is our top-selling cleanser for acne-prone skin.

Elta Sunscreens

One in five people will get skin cancer, and fewer than 33% of adults, adolescents and children routinely wear sunscreen on a daily basis. Most clients believe that if they are not out in the sun then why would they need sunscreen? Most people do not realize you can get sun damage in your car or office from the window or sunroof, daily walks, gardening, sports, or just going to the mail box. And as the ozone layer is shrinking, we are exposed to more UVA and UVB radiation. That’s why it’s more important than ever to protect ourselves. Elta Gold sun block formulas feature Z-Cote®, a microfine transparent zinc oxide that leaves no white residue on the skin’s surface. This ingredient makes the Elta products more effective than over the counter sunscreens. All Elta Gold products are non-comedogenic, sensitivity-free, fragrance-free and can be worn on a daily basis or for outdoor use. All Elta sun block and suncreens block both UVA (causes photoaging) and UVB (causes skin cancer) rays.

Latisse

Latisse is a physician supervised prescription treatment approved by the FDA. It is used to help grow lashes, making them longer, thicker and darker. Latisse is a liquid solution applied to your upper eyelid once nightly. Results can take up to 16 weeks, with significant improvement within 2 months. Latisse is not for anyone who has been previously diagnosed with eye pressure problems, currently using medication for eye pressure problems, or with any risk factors for glaucoma.
