BBL Photorejuvenation Skin Treatment

The Sciton BBL (BroadBand Light) system is best known for treating pigmentation (sunspots) and vascular changes (redness associated with Rosacea and broken capillaries). It is commonly referred to as photo rejuvenation because it also works deep in your skin to tone and address textural changes associated with aging. BBL is FDA-approved to treat the areas of the face and body. The light energy delivered by the BBL stimulates the skin cells to regenerate and restore your skin.

Two weeks prior to treatment, you will need to have minimal sun exposure. Most treatments are 30 minutes, and treatment time depends on the actual area being treated. The most popular areas of treatment are the face, neck, chest, and hands. Since it is a non-invasive procedure, there is no downtime, and you can resume your regular activities immediately following treatment. Make-up may be applied after treatment, and diligent use of sunscreen should be used after treatment.

A series of 2-3 treatments spaced 4-8 weeks apart is typical for most patients. A consultation with our experienced Aestheticians is required for BBL treatments, with most treatments scheduled during the Fall and Winter months to minimize sun exposure prior to treatment.
